Hi! I’m the owner and general manager of MRI AutoCare. I was born and raised in Regina so you can be assured I am a staunch Saskatchewan Roughrider fan!! 😉
I was transferred to Calgary in 1991 while working for Imperial Oil and have been here ever since. In 2001, I became the Manager of Sundance Husky in Lake Sundance. Later, in 2006, I decided to concentrate my efforts and have operated only the automotive service centre since then.
I am happily married to my wife Nadia and have 4 grown children, Chantelle, Marc, Chris & Justin, all of whom I am very proud of! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, adventure motorcycling, camping and fishing. I also enjoy photography and am proud of my accomplishment of having achieved a black belt in Tae Kwon Do!
It’s my job here at MRI AutoCare to lead our team to ensure that every day we are completing our mission statement:
TO REDUCE STRESS AND COSTLY BREAKDOWNS WHILE SAVING OUR CUSTOMERS TIME AND MONEY!
Enjoy our website, and we look forward to seeing you at the shop and helping you take great care of your vehicle!
Hi, I’m Scott Wizniak, Service Manager and Licensed Technician at MRI AutoCare. I was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan but my family moved to Calgary in 1976, where I have lived the majority of time since. A few years ago my wife and I moved to Okotoks and started a family and we now have two wonderful boys, Ivan and Heath. As a family we are avid campers and love the spending time in the great outdoors. Personally, I am a movie buff , CFL fanatic (and yes being from Saskatchewan I am a Rider fan, sorry), and enjoy running. I have even signed up to run my first marathon in Washington D.C. in October of 2013.
I graduated from SAIT in 1994 from the Automotive Service Technology Program and started my apprenticeship thereafter under some very smart and diligent technicians. I became licensed in 1999 and worked primarily in the diagnostic part of the industry leaning heavily on engine drivability and wiring issues. In 2003 I moved to MRI AutoCare where I was able to expand my experience into all other aspects of automotive maintenance and repair. Over my almost 15 years as a licensed technician I have been blessed to work for and with some amazing people who make everyday coming to work fun.
I have found the key to our industry is trust. We earn that trust through being upfront, honest and dependable, which takes a large investment into people, training and equipment. This trade is ever evolving and so must we to keep our clients happy and satisfied. We do this by keeping our technicians trained with up to date equipment, access to an array of information, and always keep our eye on what’s most important, customer satisfaction.
Hi, I’m Mark Eppleston and I am excited to have recently joined MRI AutoCare after nearly 20 years in the automotive industry.
I spent most of my early years in Okotoks, but completed high school in Burlington, Ontario. After graduation, I entered the Automotive program at Mohawk College in Hamilton, and completed my apprenticeship in a small service station garage. I was honoured to receive an Outstanding Achievement award from the Ontario apprenticeship board.
I returned to Alberta in 1993 and started a career with a large service centre. I always hoped to return to a small, customer service based garage like the one I had done my apprenticeship in, so I was excited when the opportunity at MRI arose. I look forward to getting to know my clients better, and servicing their vehicles thoroughly in a professional manner.
I currently reside in Okotoks with my wife Corinne and our two sons, Noah (12) and Liam (9). The boys are heavily involved in sports, so we spend a lot of time travelling for various games, practices, etc. In my spare time, I enjoy camping, fly fishing, canoeing, and most other outdoor pursuits. I also like woodworking, home improvement projects and anything that involves working with tools.
Hi, my name is Peter Seskus, the service advisor at MRI AutoCare. I was born in Westlock, Alberta & moved to Calgary at the age of 10. I first started working for Marc in the gas bar providing full service at the pumps. After learning my way around cars with the help of the technicians in the back, it felt natural for me to move to the service counter about 10 years ago. Since then I have completed several courses pertinent to my position & completed my ASE Service Consultant certification. As a service advisor, it is my responsibility to facilitate communication between the client, the patient (that’s the car) & the doctors in the back (the technicians!).
I live up in Bridlewood & spend most of my time with my daughter Raine. She’s 6 years old and always fun to be around. Most of my interests revolve around music, which has always been a passion of mine. Everything from booking local talent for shows, playing solo acoustic shows myself & helping venues with whatever they need (ie working the door, helping load gear).
Working at MRI has been very educational, not just all of the automotive technical knowledge I’ve learned, but the skills I’ve gained with communicating with clients & managing multiple projects throughout the day.
It always puts a smile on my face when everyone understands what is needed, why & how we get to the proper service work that vehicles need.
Hi my name is Frodo, shop greeter at MRI AutoCare. I have been here since I was a pup and take pleasure in welcoming our clients to our shop. I enjoy running, playing catch and barking at other dogs. I have a pretty easy job and can usually find me napping in my bed behind Peter. I like it when people bring me treats and I make new friends very easily. One of my favourite games at the shop is preventing the linen guys from taking our welcome mat. As soon as I see them I like to lay on it and make them try to get me off. It’s fun! I always like meeting people who will give me a good belly rub so come on by, even just for a visit, I am always happy to see you.
